Islam

Here is a great deal of information, clearly and simply stated, in the shortest possible space. This book is a basic introduction to Islam, its history, teachings, practices and institutions, presented as accessibly as if it were in a magazine or newspaper.
We are introduced to Muhammad and his teaching; the trends and schools in Islam; the history and spread of Islam; art and science in Islam; and to the different situations of Muslims in the world of the mid-1990s, in Europe and North Africa, in Turkey and the Middle East, in the former Soviet Union and Africa, on the Indian sub-continent and in Indonesia.
