Island Blues (Deep Waters Poetry Collection)

“Island Blues” takes you on an eclectic journey through the social, touristic, political, and reverent experiences coalesced in the rolling blues of The Bahamas on the island of New Providence, in the capital city of Nassau. In this book, the author offers a pragmatic look at community and individual ideals, moral complexities, and national concerns we all face, but through a poetic lens. As you leisurely let yourself drift into “Island Blues”, you are encouraged to surrender to the ease of island time. Bask in the warm waters of simple island pleasures and be tickled by the salt of its humorous critique. But be cautioned to brace yourself as well, for the choppy waters of turmoil are never too far off. “Island Blues” is one of the 14 sections of “The Deep Waters Poetry Collection”.
