Isla's Inscryption

When Isla Royle's mother dies, she believes she is utterly alone - the only child of an only child. But at the funeral home, a stranger steps out of the shadows and changes everything. Arthur Edmunds, elegant and unsettlingly familiar, claims to be her grandfather. He invites Isla to his ancestral home in Suffolk: a sprawling manor steeped in history, privilege... and secrets.

In this world of apparent comfort and belonging, Isla begins to uncover the tangled threads of her family's past - and its strange connection to local legend. But as her grief deepens and reality starts to blur, the house reveals its darker side. Whispers in the night. A warning slipped under her door. A sense that she is both guest and prisoner.

Isla must navigate a labyrinth of grief, memory, and hidden truths before she loses more than just her sense of self.

Isla's Inscryption is a haunting folk horror novel where family legacy and folklore intertwine - perfect for readers who love atmospheric thrillers, gothic mysteries, and dark secrets buried in the English landscape.
