The Isolationists: The Audio Script (1090 Audio)

THE FULL SCRIPT OF THE AUDIO DRAMALate April 2020, Local talk radio host Vincent, is dealing with the current lockdown the only way he knows how, by being a voice in the dark. He encourages people to phone in and share their stories. From community leaders, frontline workers, and politicians, to teenagers, holiday makers and conspiracy theorists. They all join his producer, Nina, to tell Vincent of their experiences durring the lockdown, sharing stories of human existence through laughter and loss. But for Vincent, the circumstances of his story may be the most challenging of all. The Isolationists is inspired by true events, as a reaction to the strange times that the world has been going through whilst it deals with the coronavirus Covid-19. It is a social commentary to not only entertain, but to mark the times, act as a tribute and a thank you, and remind us all that even apart, we can still be there for each other. This full script of the 1090 Audio production of The Isolationists was written during lockdown conditions, and recorded remotely with a full cast during May 2020.
