Item description from seller
Paperback. Life is grand for Patch, the hotshot superstar of the hunting clan, until dead bodies start turning up in the Marketplace. Detective Jimmy Lask can't get any answers-not about the murders he's trying to solve, not about his mysterious new boss, and not about the ranks of enforcement officers that seem to multiply daily all around him.His gut tells him to trust no one, but Lask forms an unlikely alliance with the brash, young hunter whose appetite for illegal herbs might get them both killed. Together, they build and lead a rag-tag army that must set aside ancient rivalries to battle the forces determined to destroy the clan system, the very foundation of a free Isotopia. This novel was prepared for publication during the months following the author's death, using the working copy of the original manuscript and the author's personal story notes. The story explores many of the author's curiosities: the boundaries of science, the courage to overcome limitations, and the gifts of friendship and mentorship. This item is printed on demand. About the Author
From his earliest years in the quiet town of Weston, Massachusetts, Jeff Greenberg exhibited a creative streak and a flair for fantasy. He held a deep affection for the Road Runner, Roger Rabbit, and Darkwing Duck, and could happily entertain himself for hours drawing his favorite characters while composing long, detailed stories about their adventures. Jeff lived with his parents, his little sister, Lindsay, and their yellow Lab, Boomer, filling his free time with tennis, basketball, skiing, swimming, Dance Dance Revolution, and Nintendo.
Jeff’s passion for storytelling matured with his fascination for TV shows with complex characters and intricate storylines: House, Breaking Bad, The Wire, The Leftovers, Game of Thrones. At the same time, his academic curiosity led him to study cognitive psychology at the University of Pennsylvania with his mentor, Dr. Michael Kahana.
Jeff began working on Isotopia in July of 2013 and was diagnosed with leukemia one year later. Despite the challenges of his disease, Jeff earned his master’s degree in Cognitive Psychology from Ohio State in 2015. He returned to the Boston area and worked as an outcomes analyst for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston. He lived to the age of 26 and is dearly missed by all who knew him.
