Modell, Esq., Sensei, 5th Dan Isshinryu Karate, Gung Fu practitioner, internationally recognized for designing Wing Chun Butterfly Swords, a forty-year plus martial artist, cadre instructor and member of the Black Belt Promotions Board at the Southfield Martial Arts Institute, in Michigan, USA.

Master Jeffrey D. Modell, Esq., 6th Dan Isshinryu Karate, certified Sensei, began studying martial arts in the seventies. He is an instructor teaching advanced material, and a member of the Black Belt Promotions Board under Hanshi Willie Adams at the Southfield Martial Arts Institute. He believes the best way to pay back the great martial artists who taught him is to teach others. "It is a great day if one student who wants to learn attends my class." Prior to joining Hanshi Adams' headquarters dojo he was mainly a practitioner of Gung Fu but had studied Isshinryu while in high school. Master Modell continues his CMA studies privately.
