A tribute to Pavlowa, who died earlier in 1931. The cover design by Vargas, of Pavlowa as Leda with the Swan flying behind her in the night sky. Tributes by Valerian Svetloff, Michel Fokine, Muriel Stuart, Charles Brce Millholland, Adolph Bolm, Lauren Novikoff, Katherine Ross Bowditch, Andre Oiveroff, Nicholas Legat, Nina de Marco, Hilda Butsova. It is said that the Australian "pavlova" dessert was named for her by the chef of the Parmelia Hotel restaurant in Perth, Western Australia. 4to, 64pp, decorative wrappers. Spine ruffled top and bottom, some lower right corners folded, overall very good.
