Contemporary vellum, attractive hand-lettered title to spine, gilt device to center of front and rear boards, green edges. Light soiling and a few minor stains. Title page with attractive large copperplate printer device printed in red and black, woodcut head-pieces, tail-pieces and decorated initials. Light browning, foxing, and dampstaining to a few leaves, interior otherwise fresh. Ex-library. Remains of shelf label to foot of spine, small owner stamps to front pastedown and title page. Bohmer was perhaps the leading German authority of his age on ecclesiastical law and its history.
