The three cartouches are of Yedo, a hill top scene overlook- ing the river & communities, with castle in background.State Barge in lower right with many flags, an elaborate "Junk."In the lower left are three Coreans, one holds an umbrella,each with the traditional horse hair hat. The map has cities and towns named, with mountains, rivers, bays noted.Nicely done. See: Tooley's Dicionary of Maps, S. 528. John Rapkin drew and engraved maps for Tallis 1841-1851.
