About this Item
A Nineteenth Century edition of Jack by Alphonse Daudet. Daudet was a novelist and journalist in Nineteenth Century France, known at the time for his Monarchist and fervant anti-republican views. His sons, Leon and Lucien, would become famous writers in their own right. In decoarative calf binding with gilt detailing in a custom slip case. Externally very smart indeed, there is only slight wear to the joints and backstrip. The slipcase features more prominent wear and is peeling slightly in places. Internally, the pages are firmly bound and are bright and clean throughout, aside from minor foxing to endpages. VERY GOOD slipcase Very Good Indeed. Seller Inventory # FGN12-C-19
