Not a self-help manual (hence, no forms or checklists), her book seeks to create more informed clients, better able to assist their attorneys. In addition to providing general information on personal injury law in Part 1 (e.g., overviews of negligence law, damages, litigation, and insurance), Part 2 illustrates how the law works in specific kinds of accidents (e.g., involving motor vehicles, children, product defects, and medical malpractice) by presenting real case histories together with verdict and settlement estimates. With no other comparable text available for the lay reader, this is recommended for public libraries.
