635pp. 1885. 8vo. large sized. A very good minus copy. Original publisher's green cloth - gilt embossed to the spine. Brown endpapers. A neat gift ink inscription to the head of the front endpaper. Some spotting to the endpapers and to the fore-edges. Splitting to the inner hinges with some webbing revealed leaving both boards a little shaken but still very much holding. Slight loss to the upper margin of one page caused by the forced opening of unopened pages. No loss of text. A short tear to the leading page of the rear endpaper, which has been expertly repaired.
