Based on a short story by W. Somerset Maugham. (Fireside Theater Book Club) Slightly smaller book, gray cloth with blue border at center front with b/w photo of actors in formal dress, 195 lightly browned pages, several photos of scenes. First performance was February 1, 1952 with Adrienne Corri, William Whitman, Basil Rathbone and others, ink last name on first front end paper. DJ lightly browned paper, praise for series on back. DJ has light wear with very tiny nick and crease at top front middle edge, thin chip and near-chip at spine top edge, 1/2" tear at spine bottom left edge, creases at bottom back. Near Good DJ/Fine book.
