Jane Rowley's Scrap Book : Sixty Years' Gleanings (Classic Reprint)

Victorian Scrapbook collects a lifetime of verse, essays, and meditations.

This carefully curated edition gathers poetry, reflections, and occasional essays drawn from a long, associative arc of sixty years. Readers will encounter intimate vignettes, moral observations, and moments of quiet wonder, all shaped by a collector’s sensibility and a lifetime of reading.

From lyrical pieces to thoughtful essays, the collection offers a window into sensibilities of a bygone era, with themes of memory, faith, friendship, and daily life. The selections are presented in a way that invites reflective reading and gentle contemplation, rather than a single, continuous narrative.

The book moves through memories of home, moral reflections, and historical echoes, mingling personal feeling with broader cultural touchstones. It invites readers to pause, consider, and revisit familiar sentiments from a quieter, literary vantage point.
