c1890s. Original creped pictorial,wrappers, stab-stiched to spine held by silk thread. Size : 17 x 13 cms. [ 24 ] pages on creped paper illustrated throughout with hand-tinted woodblocks in rich coloured inks. Very lightly tanned to top corner of the upper cover otherwise an excellent example, in this popular series which was designed for the Western market, published at the end of the nineteenth/early twentieth centry.
