Japhet in Search of A Father & The Pacha of Many Tales, by Frederick Marryat, 223 pp, 208 pp, half leather, 7.75 x 5 , 12mo. In good condition. Light wear to extremities with more moderate wear to top of spine. Non-archival tape is affixed to the top, possibly holding the bindings together? Spine abraded with dryness and loss at joints exposing board. Rubbed boards with minor toning to marbling. Marbled end papers clean. Interior is lightly toned with scattered foxing. Light offsetting form frontispiece. Binding tight and intact. Free of known markings. Please see photos. Two volumes in one. Captain Frederick Marryat CB FRS was a Royal Navy officer, a novelist, and an acquaintance of Charles Dickens.
