About this Item
Description:
A wondrous piece of alphabetry, portraying early 20th century circus and carnival acts deftly rendered by miniaturist and tattoo artist Jason D'Aquino. Using only a super-sharp pencil and a magnifying glass, D'Aquino spent hours huddled over his desk to create these lovingly crafted, ultra-precise and meticulously rendered graphite miniatures on vintage paper. All drawings are hand-drawn - no chicanery, no Photoshop, absolutely genuine. Seller Inventory # 00080826948

About the Author: Jason D'Aquino's work is clearly influenced by the darker side of childhood, focusing on the wickedly humorous, gleefully gross, and the magically macabre rather than the warm and carefree. D'Aquino's exceptional drawings have appeared in numerous galleries and influential collections across the United States. He also has a thriving career as a tattoo artist in New York.
