The Jason Robert Brown Collection: 24 Selections from Shows and Albums

The Jason Robert Brown Collection is a piano, vocal and guitar songbook with 24 selections from the Broadway composer’s first ten years of work. It features music from Songs for a New World, Parade and The Last Five Years, plus songs from the albums Songs of Jason Robert Brown and Wearing Someone Else’s Clothes. It is especially relevant to singers, pianists, performers and admirers of Brown’s songwriting.

The collection presents vocal melody and lyrics with piano accompaniment and chord names for rehearsal, musical study and performance. Several selections were previously unavailable in print, and the book adds a note from Jason Robert Brown for every song as well as a composer biography. The music and commentary provide context for exploring the dramatic writing, storytelling and expression of his stage and album work.
