His articles appear in the Grove Dictionaries of Music, Encyclopaedia Britannica, The Musical Quarterly, The Black Perspective in Music, The Instrumentalist, and Jazz Educators Journal.
David Cutler is a jazz and classical composer and pianist. His compositions have been performed throughout North America, Europe, and Asia. He currently serves on the Duquesne University and Brevard Summer Music Festival faculties.
