Florentin et Kopec est une petite librairie qui propose un ensemble de livres provenant de La Biblioth�que Balki-Island Disc, qui est une bilioth�que sous forme de ready-made qui a �t� mise en oeuvre par l'artiste Jean-Baptiste Decav�le, entre 1999 et 2019. Cette biblioth�que s'est mise en place petit � petit, suite � trois voyages (1999-2006) allant de La Terre de Baffin au D�troit de Bering. Il s'agissait alors d'aller � la recherche de Balkis-Island, une �le-s�pulture pour les chiens, tout en suivant certaines indications d'Italo Calvino. L'activation de la biblioth�que � eu lieu depuis l'�le de Vassivi�re en Limousin lors de l'exposition Etc. Balkis Island, le 05 Juillet 2009. Cette exposition avait pour intention de transposer une partie de la cartographie de l'imaginaire issue de la collaboration entre l'artiste Jean-Baptiste Decav�le et l'architecte Yona Friedman. Florentin et Kopec ont souhait� proposer � la vente chaque livre provenant de cette biblioth�que, afin d'�largir la cartographie initiale de Balkis-Island en y incorporant les lieux depuis lesquels les livres seront achet�s. Les livres sont propos�s � leur prix moyen, au fur et � mesure, il y en a plusieurs centaines. Il y a l� des livres d'architecture, d'art, de philosophie, de romans, de po�sie etc.
