A very good copy for its age of an early hardback edition (undated with no edition statement but copyright is dated 1907 and handwritten ownership statement to fly-leaf dated 1917, so definitely more than 100 years old), of this American novel set in Lucerne and about young Americans. No Dust Jacket: Cover: red cloth covered boards with black lettering to spine; reasonably clean, just the occasional mark, but considerable fading; rubbing to all edges commensurate with age and use, with some cracking and slight erosion to spine, but overall very good for its age. Internally: very clean and soundly bound; previous owner's neat name to front fly leaf; no other markings inscriptions or book plates; some age yellowing to pages and darkening to page edges; otherwise in very good condition for an 100 year old book. 188 pp.
