Jesus (Paperback)

Paperback. Jesus of Nazareth taught for three years. He left no writings. What remains is the testimony of those who watched, listened, and were changed. This book moves through that testimony passage by passage. Not as a devotional, not as a systematic theology, but as a careful reading of what the words actually say. The Sermon on the Mount: what the Beatitudes mean, why anger is upstream from murder, what the Lord's Prayer is doing structurally, and why "blessed are the pure in heart" is a promise about perception. The parables of Luke: the Good Samaritan and why a Samaritan is the last person anyone expected to be the hero. The prodigal son and what the elder brother reveals about the real obstacle to grace. The Gospel of John: the Prologue, the foot washing, the Farewell Discourse, "I am the way." The resurrection: the folded burial cloth, Mary in the garden, Thomas's demand for evidence and the confession it produced. And 1 Corinthians 13: Paul's behavioral description of agape - love as a system designed for hostile environments, love that never fails because it is the only thing that survives the transition from this age to the age to come. Fourteen chapters. The Word who was with God in the beginning, to the love that will never end. "Blessed are you if you do them." - John 13:17 This item is printed on demand.
