Following Jesus (Paperback)

Paperback. "Pastor Moses is part of the Reverse Mission wave God has raised up in recent decades from the Global South to remind Europeans of the story of Jesus - the greatest single factor in shaping Europe's past. He and others like him are making us realise that that same story could be the greatest factor in shaping Europe's future. His consistent witness and work in Amsterdam over decades has earned him widespread respect and affection as a city leader and elder. We do well to listen and learn from his wisdom and experience packaged in the book you are holding."-Jeff Fountain, Schuman Centre for European Studies, Amsterdam In this book, author Dr. Moses Alagbe shares key insights and explore the spiritual formation necessary to become true disciples of Jesus Christ-disciples with a lasting impact for the Kingdom of God. He explores topics such as identity, living a life of 24/7 service to God, and embracing all that God has provided for us as we follow Jesus. Identity-how we see ourselves-is one of the most critical factors shaping how we respond to life's challenges. Our identity profoundly influences our relationship with God. When we fail to live according to our new identity in Christ, it distorts both our self-perception and our understanding of who God is, and, ultimately, our role as His children. It is Dr. Agabe's sincere belief that only when the gospel transforms our identity-rooting us as sons and daughters of the Most High-can we truly rise and shine as people of impact. His dream is to see followers of Jesus rise up and become a blessing in every sphere of life as they faithfully follow Him. This item is printed on demand.
