The "Jesus proposal" is that Christians from all denominations can benefit from the cultural shift called postmodernity. We can experience relational unity in Christ--unity greater and more important than theological agreement, ecclesiological structure, and institutional loyalty. This relational faith has a better chance for acceptance now that ever in the past two centuries. And such a faith is closer to the experiences of the church one reads about in the New Testament.
