About the Author

Darrell L. Bock (PhD, University of Aberdeen) is executive director for cultural engagement at the Hendricks Center at Dallas Theological Seminary, where he also serves as research professor of New Testament studies. He is the author or editor of many books, including the two-volume commentary on Luke in the Baker Exegetical Commentary on the New Testament series and Studying the Historical Jesus.

As part of our mission to support community literacy, we provide funds to local school libraries to expand their collections, and donate to local programs focused on increasing reading proficiency itself as well as cultivating the joy of lifelong reading. Our surplus books have gone to area homeless shelters, senior citizen centers, jails, and even to Africa to help establish school and community libraries there.
