About the author

Dr. Frank van Riet (1964) is a Historian, Researcher and Policeman from the Netherlands. This book (De bewakers van Westerbork) was published in Dutch in 2016. Frank is specialized in the Dutch police during World War II as well as the Resistance. His dissertation about the Rotterdam Police in the war (Handhaven onder de Nieuwe Orde, 2008) was nominated for the mr. J. Dultilh prize. In 2022 his extensive research into a hidden part of history of persecution, resistance and betrayal in and around the city of Dordrecht (De Dordtse Affaire) was published.
