Folio, printed, folded to form 4 sides, second side without printing but with Cyrillic and Hebrew manuscript. Written in two columns, left in Russian and right in Yiddish in Cyrillic characters, with appended manuscript additions; some slight stains, repairs to border not affecting text. Since the Middle Ages, Jews in Christian countries, when appearing in civil courts, were required to pronounce oaths on testimony under the most humiliating conditions and were required to appear in court with a rabbi, who addressed the defendant or witness with specially required formal admonitions. The practice continued in many countries until the Emancipation. The oath was administered by Rabbi Liberzon, of Berdichev, in the presence of Public Authority. The rabbi's signature appears here, in Hebrew, as do those of Melech Plicherk, Yechiel Tartakovsky, Leib Grinberg, Yitzko Falchikis, Gerhko Ziskind, Moshko Kagan etc.
