Originally published in the early 1900s as The Baby Goes to Boston, an adorable picture book, filled with whimsical illustrations and rhythmic text, follows the adventures of an imaginative baby as he zooms around his bedroom on his toy locomotive.
About the Author: Laura E. Richards wrote more than ninety books for children and adults in a career that spanned more than fifty years, from the 1880s to the start of World War 11. Among these were biographies of both her parents: Samuel Gridley Howe, the first to teach a blind and deaf person to read and write; and Julia Ward Howe, a social activist and author of the "Battle Hymn of the Republic." Laura E. Richards died in 1943, at the age of 93, at her home in Maine.
