Jimmy and Me

What happens when the soundtrack of your life isn't just background noise-but the thing that keeps you afloat?

Jimmy & Me: Semi-True Stories of One Parrothead is a raw, funny, and deeply human memoir about growing up, breaking down, and rebuilding your soul one song at a time.

J.T. Simpson-firefighter, family man, and lifelong Parrothead-has lived through the kind of moments that carve you open: the loss of loved ones, the strain of marriage, the silent battles of trauma, and the relentless push to keep showing up even when you're running on empty. Through it all, Jimmy Buffett's music wasn't just entertainment...it was a compass. A lifeline. A reminder that even in the darkest storms, there's always a breeze trying to carry you home.

Told with grit, humor, heartbreak, and hope, these stories travel from Connecticut firehouses to the sunlit bars of Key West, from family chaos to unexpected grace. Along the way, you'll meet the unforgettable people who shaped him, the moments that broke him, and the quiet reckonings that put him back together.

For anyone who's ever loved hard, lost deeply, laughed through pain, or clung to a song to survive-this memoir is a reminder that healing isn't linear, but it is possible. And that sometimes, the stories we tell save us.

A heartfelt, honest, and wildly relatable ride, Jimmy & Me is for:
