Do Job-Specific Problems and Individual Problem-Solving Abilities Mediate the Relationships Between Personality and Career Commitment?: An Empirical Investigation

"While considerable research has examined relations between personality traits and a variety of organizational outcomes, little or no investigation has been directed towards understanding practical issues associated with the actual problem environment and how employees perceive it. This research provides organizations with an opportunity to tackle this predicament as they select personnel, using a newly developed tool known as PoPES (Perception of the Problem Environment Scale). This book will be invaluable to both, employees and organizations because it not only addresses an individual’s propensity to solve problems, but also the capacity of hiring managers to improve the quality of their hiring and selection based on this new knowledge."
