Handsome edition - the books feature gilt page edges at the top edge of the text block; 3/4 leather binding; marbled end papers; illustrations and maps (some are fold-out and some are in color). The set includes the following titles: * The Discovery of America - With Some Account of Ancient America and the Spanish Conquest (in 2 volumes) * The Critical Period of American History 1783-1789 * The American Revolution (in 2 volumes) * The Mississippi Valley in the Civil War * The Dutch and Quaker Colonies in America (in 2 volumes) * New France and New England * The Beginnings of New England, or The Puritan Theocracy in its Relation to Civil and Religious Liberty * Old Virginia and Her Neighbors (in 2 volumes) Condition: All volumes are tightly bound with no cracks and no loose pages.
