Very good solid book in lightly marked red buckram covers with a motif of a small gilt head of a fox to centre front; the book was re-backed in 20009 with the somewhat rubbed original backstrip carrying gilt titles re-attached. Internally very good and free of inscriptions; copiously and attractively illustrated with 31 colour and b/w plates with titled tissue guards plus 9 text illustrations; binding tight; virtually free of foxing; xxii + 356pp. A very sound copy.
