The Joshua Factor: Leadership Principles from an Ancient Warrior

able to enter the Promised Land under Joshua when they could not do so under Moses? Joshua’s leadership was the necessary ingredient. Joshua generated the nation’s transformation from wanderers to conquerors because he was oriented in his purpose. In part one of the book, Krogh explores the principles of change, integrity, and discipline. In part two, he studies eight principles found in Joshua’s last lecture. Expectations of miraculous manna inhibit disciplined growth and keep us from claiming what God has given; but Joshua leaders push beyond the present stagnation into the promised future.

Jonathan Krogh founded LAMUS Consulting because he believes in the power of the small to midsized congregation. With over 20 years ordained ministerial experience and an academic background in organizational theory, Jonathan believes the effectiveness of a congregation is not determined by its size of its membership or the diversity of its programs but by the capacity of its leaders to maintain their spiritual orientation. He received his Bachelor's and two Masters Degrees from the University of Chicago, and in addition to his work with congregations he serves as a pastoral counselor at the nation's only free pastoral counseling center.
