Biography. This book is in very good condition. There is a name and date written of the first page and there are corner knocks. The jacket is in good condition with a few small tears and is covered with a plastic cover. This book tells the story of Joshua Slocum, the first man to sail around the world alone. He launched his sloop, the Spray in 1893 and sailed 46,000 miles in a journey that lasted three years. Proceeds from the sale of this book benefit environmental restoration and education.
