Early edition paper over boards heavily worn. Front board held by one string, back board weak. Internals clean, entirely readable. War of 1812 attempt to invade Canada. Did not play out well; the mass of Kentucky Volunteers did not fair as well as Andy Jackson's did a couple of years later at New Orleans. No songs are written for this foray. Those not left at the River Raisin (poem in rear) to be slaughtered by the indians were incarcerated in stockade in southeastern Michigan. Price reflects condition. 98 pages followed by adverts.
