29/50. Folio. A rare and striking platinum print of one of Robert ParkeHarrison's signature images. Indeed, ParkeHarrison's "Restoration" captures both the whimsy and dynamism of the photographer's surreal and symbolist imagery. The print, which was created as a premium gift that accompanied the Museum Edition of Volume II of the Journal of Contemporary Photography, is tissue-guarded, handsigned in pencil by the photographer at lower right, and numbered at lower left (No. 29/50). Image is 7 x 8.5" (17.8 x 21.6 cm) on 14 x 17" (35.6 x 43.2 cm) paper. The photograph is laid inside a stiff white paper folder, with a printed text of John Wood on "Restoration" pasted to front cover. The platinum print is accompanied by an introductory typed letter handsigned in ink by 21st's Editor and photographer Steven W. Albahari. Letter, folder, and photograph in fine condition. About the photographer: Robert ParkeHarrison (born 1968) is an American photographer, best known for his work (with wife Shana ParkeHarrison) in the area of fine art photography. The photographs of Robert and Shana ParkeHarrison have been displayed in 18 solo exhibitions and over 30 group shows worldwide. Their work can also be found in over 20 collections, including the National Museum of American Art at the Smithsonian Institution and the George Eastman House. 'My photographs tell stories of loss, human struggle, and personal exploration within landscapes scarred by technology and over-use? [I] strive to metaphorically and poetically link laborious actions, idiosyncratic rituals and strangely crude machines into tales about our modern experience.' -Robert ParkeHarrison. ParkeHarrison's work is stylistically similar to that of Teun Hocks. Bookseller Inventory # 39421
