In the early 1900s, the Roentgen ray was not widely used to detect gallstones, which were often only detected when they caused symptoms. The author argues that it is possible to detect gallstones and pathological appendices in up to ninety percent of cases, even when there is no direct evidence of their presence. The author discusses the techniques for diagnosing gallstones and appendicitis using the Roentgen ray. Included are case studies demonstrating the effectiveness of these techniques.
