Janine Shinkoskey Brodine, M.Ed. has been a journal writer for thirty years. She teaches memoir and journal writing, runs a family literacy program in Seattle, and is writing a historical fiction novel set in medieval France. A classroom teacher and reading specialist for thirteen years, Janine was a Head Teacher at Indian Heritage High School. She is now an adjunct professor at Seattle Pacific University and is on the faculty of South Seattle Community College.

Judith Ann Isaacs, B.A. (Journalism); M.A. (Educational Administrator) is a writer, educational consultant, and a former classroom teacher for Seattle Public Schools. She is author of the text Secondary School Journalism, as well as many articles about writing, learning styles, and outdoor recreation in the northwest and southwest United States. She is now adjunct professor at Seattle Pacific University and teaches writing at two local community colleges.
