The first volume includes some of the Wide Worlds journals begun while Emerson was at Havard and four contemporary notebooks mostly unpublished Green cloth boards with gilt titling to the spine dustjacket is intact but shows shelf wear to extremities with small loss at front top corner triangle 1cm price clipped Minor foxing to foreedge however contents are tightly bound clean and bright with no foxing internally pp430 Overall a good copy.
