'The thrilling true account of a famous woodsman, scout & guerilla leader during the formative years of the American Nation' In the evocative pages of Rogers own journal we are taken through a landscape of dark untrodden forest where danger from hostile Indians and the French Army threaten every step. Famous exploits of guerilla warfare are graphically told, including battles and ambushes on America's lakes, the devastating 'Fight on Snowshoes' and the raid against the Abanakee's village at St, Francis, recounted across time by Rogers himself.

This book of Rogers journal in its unedited and unabridged form. It is not a facsimile – all the typesetting is new, clean and legible.

It forms part of a series of military titles published by Leonaur. You can read part of Rogers narrative on our website – leonaur.com which also carries news of forthcoming titles. This book is one of several in our ‘Military Commanders’ series. Rogers is expensive and very rare on the antiquarian market but it is now available at normal paperback price.

There’s also a hardcover cloth bound with dustwrapper version at a price less than some facsimile paperbacks. This book will not appear on the publisher’s remainders market. Enjoy.
