About the Author

Rosalind Webster Perry, granddaughter of Marie Webster, is a writer and publisher from Santa Barbara, California. In 1990, Rosalind published a new edition of her grandmother's bok, Quilts: Their Story and How to Make Them, the first quilt book. Rosalind is Vice President of The Quilters Hall of Fame, which is renovating Marie Webster House, a National Historic Landmark in Marion, Indiana, for its headquarters and museum. Rosalind's husband Richard is an author and illustrator of books on colonial Mexico. They have 2 daughters and 3 grandchildren.

Marty Frolli is a National Quilting Association certified teacher and holds a B.A. degree in Art from the University of California, Santa Barbara. She was the charter president of Santa Barbara's Coastal Quilters Guild. Marty currently teaches a variety of quilting classes for Santa Barbara City College Continuing Education and lives with her husband and two daughters in Goleta, California.
