Overall good rebacked condition, with leather spine replaced by modern cloth. Rubbing and losses to edges and corners of boards. Modern end pages at front and rear. Hinges remain in good condition and text block remains bound well. Light markings and marginalia. Includes numerous foldouts throughout, with most being maps. Separation to one foldout and tape to others. Small bookplate sticker at front of book. General age-related toning to pages, along with periodic foxing and wear. An English translation of Julius Caesar s third-person commentaries, originally written as two separate pieces, with his Gaul accounts from 58 to 50 BC and his accounts of the Civil War from 49 to 48 CE.
