About this Item

Collectible, vintage hardback book in GOOD condition; 1925, no edition stated. Black boards with embossed design of sailing ship and gilt lettering on front cover and spine (faded). Minor shelfwear to boards. Corners and spine ends slightly rubbed. End papers slightly tonal or tanned. Previous owner's book plate on inside front cover with name 'Marie Carlpero'. Paper lining on inside front board slightly pulled away front board at spine edge, but it has not torn. Spine is pulling away from the pages, but the pages are all intact. On the page after the FFEP and the half title page, a written gift inscription reads: 'Happy birthday to Marie from Papa, Harvey, George', dated September 9, 1926. Yellow crayon scribble on half title page, otherwise the book is clean.
