Measuring approximately 7.25" x 5.25" and 8" x 5.5" with 303, 324 numbered pages respectively. These books are in fair condition. Moderate bumping, staining, and scuffing to boards and textblocks. Front water damage to the first book. Previous owners bookplate in both books. Moderate foxing and staining to interior pages. The Jungle Book (1894) is a collection of stories by the English author Rudyard Kipling. Most of the characters are animals such as Shere Khan the tiger and Baloo the bear, though a principal character is the boy or "man-cub" Mowgli, who is raised in the jungle by wolves.
