The Easton Press (1980), Norwalk, Connecticut, 1980. Collector's Edition, 10-1/2" x 7-1/4", 383 numbered pages. Part of the publisher's "100 Greatest Books Ever Written" series. Full leather. Condition: Fine. Bound in full decorated leather stamped in 22kt gold, without dust jacket, as published; moire end sheets with a matching silk book ribbon; pages are Smyth-sewn into the binding for permanence. Archival-quality paper, page edges gilded on three sides. Illustrated with line drawings by David Gentleman. Bound in the publisher's original full leather with the title stamped in gilt on the spine. Four raised hubs on the spine. Decorations stamped in gilt on the covers and spine. All edges gilt. Silk moire end papers. Hinges very sturdy. Moire end pages have faded along all edges (see photo). Signed bookplate attached to back side of FFEP.
