The Jungle Promenade A Poem for Childhood

This work is an illustrated children's picture book with a poem entitled "The Jungle Promenade." The poem tells the story of monkeys and apes gathering in the moonlight each summer night for a dance. Illustrations are vividly sculpted in clay and photographed in high resolution in a 10"x7" format. The poem is in regular meter (8.7.8.7) with a regular rhyming pattern of AABCCB. The poem has nine strophes, across two facing pages. The book includes a song with piano accompaniment so that the book could either be read or sung as well as an Orff orchestration for children to play in ensemble. Ukulele chords are included for extra convenience. This book is the first of three currently being developed.
