1918. These two volumes were loved! There is obvious usage. The condition of fair is secondary to the information contained within. There are chapters for gardening, needlepoint, parties, penmanship, things to make, drawing, history, hygiene, etc. It even has literature by authors of the time period. My goodness! These books are for the well-rounded child. Buy these instead of depending upon technology.
