It explores Plato, Aristotle and Immanuel Kant s conception of cardinal virtues, duty, eudaemonia, enlightenment rationality and morality in order to substantiate the notion of justice. Besides, it examines the nature of justice with reference to enlightenment in general and specifically its practice of morality , meditation and wisdom of Gautama Buddhain promoting just person and just society. This book offers an insight on the relevance of normative justice in the light of our contemporary debates on the conception of justice and how humanity understands their relations with one another.It provides a vision that how to build a just society where each person becomes enlighten and moral to transform oneself and inculcates the virtue of love, compassion, equality and tolerance to live peacefully by accepting and respecting others dignity to live and get along with others. About The Author: Dr. Ghazala Rizvi is ICSSR Post Doctoral Fellow at the Centre for Philosophy, School of Social Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. She was born in district Gopalganj, Bihar. She was educated from Patna and then moved to Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh from where she has done her B.A. (Hons.) in Political Science with Philosophy and Geography and M.A. in Philosophy. She has done her B.Ed from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi. She obtained her M.Phil and Ph.D from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi.She has cleared University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC- NET) for Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship (UGC- JRF) both. She had been awarded Maulana Azad National Fellowship (UGC- MANF) by University Grants Commission, New Delhi. She has also awarded Indian Council of Philosophical Research Junior Research Fellowship (ICPR-JRF), New Delhi. Recently she has been awarded Post Doctoral Fellowship by Indian Council Social Science Research (ICSSR), New Delhi to work on the title "Gender Justice and Capability: A Social and Political Appraisal".She has to her credit; more than fifteen research articles published in UGC referred Journals and highly standard academic journals in India and abroad. Besides she has presented papers in several national and internal seminars. Her areas of specialization are Social and Political Philosophy, Moral Philosophy, Feminist Philosophy, Western and Indian Philosophy, Aesthetics, Existentialism and Philosophy of Law. She has taught philosophy at Jawaharlal Nehru University, Lady Shri Ram College for Women and Shyama Prasad Mukherji College for Women, University of Delhi, New Delhi.
