A history of the Knapp family, of Bayshore, Long Island, New York. 44 pages of the book "Pertains mainly to shooting" in the 1870s and 1890s, including shooting on Long Island for snipe, duck, geese, brant, grouse, quail, woodcock, dove, live pigeon shooting at Westminster Kennel Club, shooting prairie chicken in Iowa in the 1880s, a three page account of a trout caught by the author, four pages on the Southside Sportsman's Club, their hatchery and the guide Josh Verity, who "specialized on trout fishing and snipe shooting", etc. Scarce.
