Kakapo and the Rimu Tree

EVOLUTION is a BIG word

Deep in the forests of New Zealand there lives a little bird. Well, maybe not so little. Kakapo is a bit chubby for a parrot. He's different in other surprising ways, too.

Why is this silly parrot so different from all other parrots?

This is a story of how a lovable little bird changed his habits in order to survive.

This entertaining chapter book for children aged 7-11 introduces readers to this unique bird, and the ways our circumstances can push us to change for the better. With charming characters and exciting new vocabulary, Kakapo encourages curiosity about the wider world and its astonishing creatures.
